Based on the harbourside in the Cornish fishing village of Porthleven, Gourmet Picnics share a home with sister company Amélies at The Smokehouse. As well as sharing the kitchen, both businesses are helmed by Sam Sheffield-Dunstan and share the same ethos: fresh, locally sourced ingredients delivered in a environmentall friendly way. Gourmet Picnics have been operating this way and making moments memorable since 2007.
Sam's background in Events Management is London based. From organising events for the likes of Burberry and Bulgari, Sam has a fine trained eye for making the smallest detail perfect. Sam has taken her time putting together a formidable team, perfect for the smaller intimate party right through to the larger scale event.
Bruno Helebrandt, originally from Slovakia, Bruno brings his passion and unrelenting aim to utilise the 'Best of the West'. Bruno trained under the famous Slovakian Chef Richard Sykora, well known throughout Europe for his expertise. After travelling throughout Britain, Bruno has settled in Cornwall because he feels it is where food is at it's most exciting and accessible. Bruno is also head chef at sister company, Amélies at The Smokehouse.
